Abra Cadaver

Poem by Steve Kronen

What magic!

Cape

so dense

no light escapes

its fabric.

Up each sleeve?

Mouth of Adam,

mouth of Eve,

baffled

by the fence

around their yard.

Pick an apple,

pick any goddamn

card.
